NSPCC

Here at Bramley Wood we believe very strongly in charitable giving. We actively support the NSPCC as our chosen charity with the aim to give those children who have had a less positive start in life, a more positive future.

Ducklings – 0 Years - Movers

The Ducklings have the capacity for 18 children and we work on the basis that there is one adult for every three children. Within the unit the supervisor ensures that the highest level of care and stimulation is offered to each individual child. Each member of staff is a key carer and this helps to provide a strong bond in order to ensure that every child settles and thrives within the nursery. The children are spoilt with a spacious area to play in including a large play room which is split into two sections, a creative room and two cot rooms.

Cygnets – Movers - 2 Years

The Cygnets have the capacity for 21 children and we work on the basis that there is one adult for every three children. Within the unit the supervisor ensures that the highest level of care and stimulation is offered to each individual child. Each member of staff is a key carer and this helps to provide a strong bond in order to ensure that once your child is on the move they thrive and strongly move forward with their development within the nursery. The children are spoilt with a spacious area to play in including a large play room, a creative room, a physical room, cot room and a beautiful sensory room.

Little Cubs – 2- 3 Years

The Little Cubs have the capacity for 24 children and work on the basis that there is one adult for every four children. The supervisor in the room ensures that the children are gaining the stimulation and next steps which they need. Each member of staff is a key carer helping the children to continue making such important connections, challenging what they know and making learning fun! The children also benefit from potties and child sized toilets and sinks encouraging them to start toilet training. They have use of a large play room, a quiet room, and a creative room.

Monkeys – 3- 5 Years

The Monkeys have the capacity for 32 children, and work on the basis that there is one staff member to every eight children. The supervisor in the unit ensures that the children are given the opportunities to access learning in each area of the unit, wherever they decide to play. All staff are key carers, and encourage the children’s independence skills, embracing their childhood, but steadily preparing them for the next step of going to school. We encourage the children to bring in toys and creative work they have done at home, and do a short show and tell session. The children often bring in stories and toys to show their friends and to share their own personal experiences.

Here at Bramley Wood we ensure that the children have new equipment and toys to help their development and the fun that we all have!! Being able to take learning outside is also a key part of our nursery ethos! Take a look for yourselves at some examples of the equipment that we have at :  http://www.gardengames.co.uk/
