Welcome to Merrydale Day Nursery in Wokingham. Merrydale opened in May 1989. Here at Merrydale we are committed to providing children from as young as 3 months to 5 years with a safe, stimulating environment.

Opening Hours
Merrydale Day Nursery is open Monday to Friday 07:30 to 18:00, apart from Bank Holidays and the week between Christmas and New Year.

Catering
We have our own nursery cook who provides the children with a home cooked meal. We encourage healthy eating practices and offer the recommended ‘5- a- day’ fruit and veg portions.

We provide breakfast to children under the age of one, including cereals or toast.   A hot meal is served for lunch, including curries, pasta dishes, risottos and the children’s favourite: roast chicken with all the trimmings. Their main meal is followed by a healthy dessert of fruit or yoghurts. In the afternoon the children are offered tea, including sandwiches, omelette, beans on toast and much more.  All of our meals are served with milk or water.

We cater for all dietary, religious and allergy requirements.

Special Features
Here at Merrydale we offer two extra curricular activities each week which are included in our fees.

Exclusively to Complete Childcare is Great Little Movers, a physical development and play class provided for children who are beyond the toddling stage.

We also have a French Teacher who provides the children with a wide variety of experiences and knowledge about French culture and language. Most of their learning opportunities are provided through creative activities and singing.

Merrydale has the benefit of a large, spacious garden where the children can explore the natural environment, to gain physical skills through riding on bikes, playing with bats and balls, and going on the swings.
