About Bramley Wood

Bramley Wood 1Welcome to Bramley Wood Day NurseryBramley Wood garden
Bramley Wood is a 95 place Day Nursery in Bracknell opened in October 1995. Here at Bramley Wood, we are committed to providing children from 3 months to 5 years with a caring, happy, and challenging environment.  Bramley Wood operates from an old converted house close to Bracknell town centre, in Berkshire. Children are accommodated in spacious rooms on both floors of the house and everyone has access to a large fun packed garden outside.

We promote positive partnerships with parents by running an open door policy and welcoming them into the nursery at any time. We have daily conversations about their child and their needs, run a key carer system in place in all of the units, and the key carers observe their key children on a daily basis using these observations to inform their planned activities, and to update the child’s learning and development journey which are all displayed in the parent’s entrance for you to access at any point. We also have a parents forum which ensures that your voice as a parent can always be heard. Also please find us on Facebook and Twitter for regular updates- find the links on our page.

Opening Hours
Bramley Wood opens from Monday to Friday, 8.00 am to 6.00 pm. We are shut on Bank Holidays and the week in between Christmas and New Year. We have morning, afternoon and full day sessions and are happy to be flexible to try and suit your working needs.

Catering
We have our own nursery cook who provides the children with a home cooked meal. We encourage healthy eating practices and offer the recommended ‘5- a- day’ fruit and vegetable portions. We are also really keen that the children are involved as much as they can be with every aspect of nursery life, and catering is no exception! The children enjoy growing their own salad and vegetables, caring for them, cutting them and finally eating them.

We offer breakfast to children between 8am and 8.45am. A hot meal is served for lunch, including curry’s, pasta dishes, fish pies and the of course a fabulous roast dinner with all the trimmings. Their main meal is followed by a dessert. In the afternoon the children are offered tea, including sandwiches, crackers, beans on toast and much more. All of our meals are served with full fat milk or water. We cater for all dietary, religious and allergy requirements.

Sensory Room

In the sensory room the children get to explore through all of their senses. Once they are in there and have experienced the magical feeling the room has to offer they never want to leave!
