Abacus Wins Training Award
Louise Richardson receives the Certificate of Merit from West Berkshire Training Consortium’s Mark Pizzey.
Congratulations to Abacus Day Nursery who have been awarded the West Berkshire Training Consortium ‘Certificate of Merit’ for 2010. The certificate recognises employers who are committed to staff training and development and the Certificate of Merit is the second-highest accolade that an employer can receive in the Investment in Training Awards
Louise Richardson said “It’s wonderful that our investment in staff training and Apprenticeships has been recognised by West Berkshire Training Consortium. We are a successful and well respected day nursery and we take our staff development very seriously. Apprenticeships are a great benefit to us because the funding make it affordable and helps us make our training budget go further. We’re a very busy employer and the help WBTC give us in finding new young staff saves us a lot of time. Apprenticeships in the child care sector are well respected and valued and I would urge all employers to get involved. We continually enjoy the business benefits of Apprenticeships and staff training through WBTC”.
Mark Pizzey at WBTC said “It is a pleasure to award Abacus Day Nursery with the certificate of Merit. They set a high standard of care and training for their Apprentices and we value their contribution as a supportive employer”.
